Ugh, I tried to get a LAN together in Rochester, and just couldn’t get enough interest. Best I can get at this point is probably Mike and Dave in the same room playing CS with me 
I miss the college days where no one had anything better to do than play video games with me.
Computers will probably draw max amperage on boot up…5-6 whatever the PS is rated for…after that it is very common to use a couple(2) amps. You might also want to factor in monitors…don’t plan on firing up a lot of CRTs…
You probably don’t want to run a 20amp breaker at 20 amps either :lol:
were here finishing up the LAN
have 13 PCs hooked up, popped the breaker once, ran some extension cords and were good now.

had some bugs. Including my rsetting the breaker people were still using
1 friend lost a 9800 card… but fortunately it was an sli setup, so he finished the night on 1 card.
Next time will be far better. This was a big learning opportunity.
I had 2-3 bad wires fucking up the entire network… once those were sorted out I just sucked as a server… but nobody else wanted to help me
I’ll have another one in the spring… I know what I’m dealing with, so it will rock more… for sure.
I wanted the UPS so I didn’t burn anything out on my PC… wife wouldn’t be happy if a $2500 investment took a shit because of one of my stupid nerd parties.

I have a decent system I could offer up as a server if that is needed in the future. could be used as a spare system or for server.
I can also provide a CRT monitor…for anything.

LAN party was a success. Made it more fun having everybody in the same room and hearing people getting pwned. lol
