Good thing i went out and spent $20.00 on this documentary when i coulda just watched it for free on youtube…:piccard:
Very interesting documentary. As far as following the rules of a documentary go, i would give it a C+ kuz it is very PRO steroids and doesnt offer to many counter points against steroids but since the media gives us more than enough of the ANTI steroids stance id say weve been overdue for the claims in support of steroids.
That guys brother died like 2 months ago from drugs, he was addicted to pain killers and drinking. not steriods related. but his dream was to be a pro wreslter.
Because its a waste of money, they dont work and if so are not worth the price. I used to be pretty serious in lifting and i took so many different creatine’s and weight gainers just to gain nothing and then of coarse you lose it after awhile once you stop…
Besides all those supplements with big strong body builders on the labels and advertisements dont even take the supplements, they are on steriods!
I dont have anything against Steriods except in sports since its illegal. Of coarse it can be dangerous in the wrong hands, but notice in hospitals how often it is used, and to treat people with MDA and HIV…
The biggest i ever got was while not taking anything and just spending my money on as many calories i could buy… im a hard gainer i can eat mcdonalds or burger king and not get fat. So the only way i can gain weight is to never miss a meal and go heavy. So i eat at like 8am, then 12:00pm for lunch,(then when i get home 4:30pm smaller meal before i workout) then gym, then right when i get out of the gym eat again at 7pm’ish, then eat at like 10:30pm and sleep. I would eat burgers or foods with alot of meat, anything thats a calorie dense food.
Thats doing this DAILY, i gained like 5lbs in like 1 month its not bad but it gets expensive food wise, and its not my main priority any more. I still like to try to stay in shape. Now there are some products that work, but im sure they dont do as much as most people think. People who can gain weight to begin with and then take these products probly think they work great. Everyones different but if you seen this Documentary, you can see how currupt everything is and that its not possible to get as big as those guys that advertise those products, they are on steriods!
Well dont get too critical against them. I will say that some supplements do ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING. For example, Muscletech, they suck. They are for noobies who are just getting into bodybuilding and are looking for an something to help them reach their goal. So muscletech plasters their name all over the magazines and the internet and people go for it only to become dissapointed. Kind of like Skunk 2 with hondas. That being said i do think there are some companies who really do want to make a good supplement. For the longest time i was only taking whey protein. But somtimes i would get tired after i would eat and fall asleep instead of going to the gym. Most of this was due to the fact that i work so much. So i started looking for an energy supplement. The bodybuilding.com supplement awards for 2008 had just come out and those awards have a pretty decent amount of respect in the bodybuilding community. The energy supplement of the year award went to AtroPhex by a company called BSN. BSN also won supplement company of the year. A little sidenote too, Muscletech didnt win any awards…kuz they suck. Anyway, ive been taking AtroPhex for a little over a month now and i love it. Tons of energy, lost a lot of water weight and my body fat percentage went down by 2.3%. Most of the reviews i read about BSN are all positive. BSN also tells u what is in their supplements instead of hiding behind the “proprietary blend” ingredient that muscletech loves to hide behind. So what im trying to say is that not every company is out to rip u off. But some deffinitly are.
Well one product i felt might have worked was Cellmass which is BSN. But who knows… and i dont think anyone can mess up a energy drink, coffee has been around for how long…
Best example of this documentary was when they compared Arnold Schwarzenegger to the current body builders…
Arnold was 6’2 weighing 235lbs.
Ronnie Coleman 5’11 weighing 292lbs. Jay Cutler 5’9 weighing 275lbs.
TEAM BSN… TEAM MUSCLETECH
Cellmass…Celltech
so if you want to look like this just take one of the products that these guys advertise.
Now Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted to taking steriods, of coarse they were not illegal then. So how are these guys shorter then him but weigh more.
