bike parking in the city

Searched for this a bit and couldnt find any useful information. Are there any special places that motorcycles can park in the city, or will I get a ticket if it’s in any place that a car cannot park as well?

In the Delaware and Chip area, and with these new parking meters with the tickets etc., there’s no where to put it on a bike so I’m not really sure what options I have aside from a garage. Would also like to leave it near work, I don’t trust it sitting for hours in a shady area etc. Work doesnt have their own lot

A motorcycle is a vehicle so you are supposed to use a normal spot. Figuring out a way to attach a parking ticket shouldn’t be too difficult. The only thing you have to worry about is someone snagging it.

I’ve never heard of bike specific parking in DT, but I’d be interested in hearing about them if do exist.

The only place to put a ticket on my bike is under the strap on the rear seat cushion, which is in plain site and I could certainly see someone taking it, given the characters I see walking around sometimes.

UB has motorcycle parking spaces, and just wondered if they exist elsewhere and I havent seen them. Or if I can get away with parking at the end of a row meters etc. or next to a building.

When i went downtown to file the legal documents and such they never bothered my bike i never paid the meters… but maybe i was just lucky.

They typically leave bikes a lone but a owner of a business can complain about being parked on a sidewalk or something like if you were on a strip mall sidewalk.

I used to just park on the sidewalk (the part between the curb and where people walk) and never had trouble

x2

i either do this or just park it on the street on the other side of the do not park sign lol.

never had any problems…

Found a spot, where I work actually. Bikes can park in the back as long as it doesnt block a regular parking space, so I’m all set.
