I have some new wheels going onto my coupe this year and in order to make them clear the coilovers and brakes i had to get adapters…
of course, i would never bolt silly china-adapters with janky studs and no hub-centric lip for the wheel so i had these made by CCF out of solid 6061 Billet aluminum
ARP extended studs pressed into the custom knurl. The hub centric lip will keep the wheel sitting perfectly centered on the adapters to the wheel hub and will also peek through as a built in center cap.
We did this as an excercise and are looking at manufacturing proper adapters with proper wheel studs but you dont even want to know what these cost to manufacture… this first set cost me several hundred dollars to build.
We are going to look at changing the design a bit to cut costs. These adapters are 30mm.
whats the point of putting extended wheel studs in 30 mm spacers??? This would be the first thing i get rid of as it to me is pretty useless IMO. +1 for better quality studs although.
let me know binger im interested in a pair of 30mm, they look sick!!
Bing, I can’t beleive I didn’t think of this. I need a set of those that go from 6 bolt to 5 bolt for my Viper customers. Can you make it happen…get me on MSN
unless you are prepared to spend $600+ on a set of custom adapters you are not getting them…lol
the ARP extended studs are stronger that china studs and actually cheaper than OEM studs for this application. the 12 x 1.25 studs are not though… plus, when you have them in a 30mm adapter you need some length to bring them through.
i could have them seat further into the adapter, but then you couldnt press in with an arbor press like your supposed to.
These are pure hottness… but I think If you make the 4 bolt >> 5 Bolt ones they will sell like hotcakes Even in the states . Ps I get a discount for saying that when they come out. lol I need some
