is the shit! I have a beta of .52 running and I do like it a lot. No stability issues yet. My friend running a slightly older version on his 8830 is experiencing no issues either, just a minor problem with YouTube where if you close it after viewing a video it’ll crash (you have to back out instead of close the media player). So far my UMA has been great as well, UMA stability was an issue for many running previous betas.
Some of the bigger things i’ve noticed:
- HTML e-mail
- YouTube support
- Better media player - finally, much more usable
- Seems to be better on the memory - I have over 20mb dev. memory free now
- L theme, now I can fit way more icons on the home screen
- Tethering to my MacBook finally works well, much more stable
- Video camera is kinda cool, even though I think putting cameras on blackberries was a poor idea
- Browser is a little more refined, better rendering of pages
- Overall significantly better performance
When it came to getting the leaked OS, I had to search up and down. I don’t have the link for your specific phone, so if you want it…look, it’s out there and shouldn’t be terribly difficult to find.
