Been buddies with CFD for a while now and when he caught wind of me racing this year, we figured we could do some pictures a little different then just cars. Well I will be racing at i-88 speedway formerly AFTON. Racing in the IMCA Modified Division. This summer should be fun for me, just figured i would share some pictures. Not sure if CFD was going to post, but he said i could so. Well here you guys go, not sure if any of you are into dirt track racing.
Pimping, good luck racing. While I’m not particularly familiar with dirt racing I’m sure it’s quite challenging and I’ve seen the videos of when things go bad on YouTube or AFV.
yea it is my first year, my father has raced for years. He is finally stepping back a little bit and allowing me to run the car. Its been a dream of mine to race, ran gokarts on dirt when i was younger. Very excited to get this season underway.
Its very competitive, huge amounts of money are spent. Major companies get involved with sponsoring and getting people rides. Many big contruction companies in this are (BBL, Park East / Rifenburg. Lucia. Big Dollars invested. I have considered getting a go pro. We will have to see.
Nice pics! I was thinking of having one of the guys take pictures of our DIRT pro stock before it hits he track this weekend. We had warm up Saturday at LVS and had our GoPro in and outside the car… Haha. Good luck this year!
Very happy to see this considering this is what I grew up around, well not IMCAS but Sportsmen/Modifieds.
Good work Dan!
BTW was doing a rig a PITA? Did you suction it to the body? I’d think there would be quite a bit of flex/bobbing around, though with a fast shutter i doubt itd matter that much
Ahh okay thats what I was curious about, whether or not he attached it right to the chassis or tried to suction it to the body panels, i figured there would be to much flex to do that…
yeah worked hard at trying to make it looks like we were at the track going around a corner! Very excited to get some racing in this summer. I actually painted the car myself also.
