Add a few pounds for the 20" wheels. Obviously its not that much more but its something, and 550+lbs is still a big difference. Thats like racing 2 cars one with a driver and the other with a driver and 3 passengers. Also he might have been calculating the convertible wieght which is another 440lbs heavier.
