Blu-Ray and HD-DVD Hacked Already?

A REALLY really simple hack enables pirates to copy movies at full resolution for future formats just by using the print screen button on a computer keyboard.
The print screen function copies whatever is on the DVD one frame at a time and all a pirate has to do is come up with some basic code to automate the process and all the security functions on the next generation format are toast

hahaha

Where do you get the audio?

I wouldn’t call that a hack, but yes it could work… could also take forever to complete

And if you actually print out each frame you can make a giant flipbook.

That’d be like half a million full res images to paste into paint… ouch =P

Granted computers are easily powerful enough where it wouldn’t take much longer as most of the functions, sans audio could all be done in hardware. As for audio, most rips would most likely be done in stereo in terms of sound. Hell technically you could just rip it all in a program like FRAPS automatically on a high-end system.
