his march was an 04!
I was known as Blue when I owned that.
the 4 in my name, stands for 4 valve. so ya, technically it couldve applied for my Mach and my Cobra, since both were “4v” 4.6’s
no, its a roots, the S281E has a twin screw on it.
Difference between Roots and Twin screw.
Both look the same on the outside with a snout.
Roots=1 Internal Compressor…Typically only Eaton makes these (Jackson Racing Supercharger(Eaton M62), Eaton M90, M112)
Twin-Screw=2 Internal Compressors (Kenne Bell, Whipple, Autorotor, Lysholm, Eaton M142)
do u know almost everything about new fords??? :blue:
bad quote b/c ur taling about super chargers…but still do u???
I know a good amount, that and GM’s
I used to own a couple LS1’s before my Mach 1, and Cobra.
had an 02 Camaro SS, with all the SLP power options, and an 02 Z28, both M6’s
ahhhh i c…why get rid of the ss
because camEro’s suck ass and the mustangs are far superior in every category.
teh mustang can nevar l0se
eh, had problems.
to be honest with you, stock for stock, the Mach 1, felt every bit as fast as an LS1.
My best pass with it bone stock was 13.2 @ 105, which I’m sure could’ve been better if it had 275/40/17s on it, instead of 245/45/17s. Those Mach’s are also known for the freak 12.9 @ 107mph runs as well.
Most guys are hitting 12.5-12.6’s on the Mach 1’s with ET Streets, and no power mods… thank god the rear ends are built in those things… unlike the pencil thick 10 bolts
but as stated before, I’ve been around the block with cars, and in stock form
the (2003-2004) NA 4v 4.6 is right on par with the LS1
:sadwavey: :op:
how the stock ls1 going 12.8’s
I know for a fact they can go 12.8’s on the Eagle F1 tires. I’ve done it, and darkstar witnessed it. But for 1.1L less in displacement, Ford is right there with the LS1
LS1’s are definitely awesome, but Ford has stepped up to the plate
fords heads r unbeliveble…those things flow sooo nice from what i hear
thats why they pretty much don’t make aftermarket heads for the cobras, machs, marauders, and lightnings
im guessing thats where they r making some decent power out of those 4.6
eh, overhead cam is more efficient, which is one thing
compression ratios are actually a tad higher than the LS1
I believe the LS1 is 10.1:1 or in that ballpark
Mach 1, had 10.25:1
Cobra of course is 8.5:1 due to its supercharger
Although the Mach, Marauder, and Cobra, share the same heads It’s a good design
my slow ass lt1 has 10.5 1 compression…why soo low in th ls1??
i thought LS1 was 10:1 and LS6 was 10.5:1…i might be wrong though

Ford should be releasing pictures of the DOHC 5v Heads in January
