Huh, funny. A good firend of mine has one of these sitting in storage in EA Scammerville. It is a '76, carb’d. Needs suspension, brake work, the doors should be replaced (no rust, just “peeling apart”) and a tune up. Don’t know what he is doing with it, but i was thinking about picking it up a few years back, for pretty cheap.
Neat cars, kinda goofy. Consider it a cross between a 1600 and a E30. The Tii(touring international injected) and rare turbo ones had a shitty diesel derived injection system, way worse than CIS. People swap all types of other BMW motors into these. From a simple 320i CIS motor, boosted E30 M3 motors, i think someone even tossed in a 740il motor.
