bought the HL-S4676S DLP TV... now i need to set it up

any where to find “optimal” settings online, or does anyone work for a company that sets up A/V stuff?

NICEEE… I’m coming over for the next Sabres game.

That’s the newer version of my tv… I love it…

My cousin had a dvd that optimed the settings. The picture is amazing.

it is going to be different depending on what your room is like, when your optimal times for viewing are (when the best picture is important to you), mainly what time of day/how much light is in the room.

there should be default settings to make it brighter at the touch of a button but then switch right back to saved user settings. my reccomendation is to set the tv in the lowest ambient light possible (night) and adjust it to what looks best to you…simple as that. online reccomendations will get you so far but every person is different so…

good luck. its all about the mirrors

werd, mirrors FTW

I also have a dvd that does it. However, it’s in Hornell and not here…

nice choice.

You can read up; order setup DVDs; download setup DVDs, and all of that. But You’re just going to end up tweaking it to the way You want it in the end.

yeah, im grabbing a setup dvd now, but its going crazy slow. if someone has one i can borrow i will have rubicant give you head.

the one HD channel this morning had a “setup” thing on. it was like 10 min and a bunch of different screens and instructions. so i set it up then, but i would like to play around with it some more.

edit:
every now and then i see a “ripple” effect while watching tv, but i havent seen it with my xbox yet. bad cable signal maybe?

ripple is the source. bandwidth thing. usually happens when there is quick motion with gradual colors right? yeah, no big deal.

you are using hdmi cables right? hdmi is better than component is better than s-video

pics?
