The weather was nice - semi-sunny and about 30 degrees. After the past two months being in the 0-low teens, it seemed it was time to do some work. Unfortunately, as with cold weather, glue leaves a white residue, but that can be sanded off.
So my friend of mine has had his eyes on my Adire Tempest 15’s for a while now. So he gave me some dimensions and I whipped up some plans for him. Everything looked like a go, so I started the build. IIRC 4.9 cubes @ 32hz peak at 50hz with 4db/octave low end rolloff and 7db/octave rolloff on the top end adjusted for cabin gain. The box was designed for his… 3.4 supercharged 2004 Buick Regal. Towards the end of the build the temperature dropped so I had to hurry the eff up.
Other than that, all edges were rounded over and smoothed. everything except the glue residue looks good, but that can change. The box was not designed to be finished. Good thing because I was given the wrong dimensions because the top of the strut tapers towards center. Another box will be designed shortly… This one will become my new dual dayton DVC coffee table in my new home probably covered in bed-liner.
pictures! I gave my friend the camera so he did his damage…
Enjoy!
Oh yeah, he was really impressed with the abilities of a spiral upcut 1/4" straight bit. heh
