My Regal

This is my Buick Regal
It currently is equipped with a stock '83 t-type 3.8l turbo engine, that is undergoing a '86/'87 turbo system conversion but with a twist.

more progress and stuff and tid bits and my home made turned fuel pump block off lol

looks horrible now that I think about it but i did buildthis amlost a year ago

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z283/polyskidd/IM000351.jpg

then then th350 goes to crap because of a B&M shift kit on the street and strip setting. don’t ever use a B&M shift kit

Now i’m upgrading some of the components.

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z283/polyskidd/HPIM0088.jpg

even another th350 with a transgo shift kit this time I hear it won’t do what the B&M did to my 1st one.
I’ve got 3.42 gears to install too

geah- im digging the build:bigthumb:

sweet you don’t see those too often.
good luck on the rest of the build

This car was an orginal 2bbl 3.8 then I put in a '83 Ttype engine stock, stock turbo and ran 2.21 60ft 18sec flat @ 89 mph at PRP through a tired th350 and 2.41 gears it weighed 3551lbs at that time.

Since then I used the '83 ttype block to build what it is today I never ran it at the track though. Stock pistons, rods, crank and block used 84 and later cyl heads, used a stock 4.1 v6 4bbl intake. Installed in a low milage stock 87 GN camshaft and lifters, cloyes double roller, stock oil pump but a 3/4" oil puck up tube. Stainless headers, A Garrett/Airesearch t70 compressor wheel and housing on a stock '87 GN center section, turbine shaft wheel and .63A/R housing. Home made 3" downpipe with a fake tial external wastegate all connected to 3" piping to a 2 chamber racing muffler from summit and 3" piping over the rear axle. There is still a modified for blowthru 750cfm Qjet on there with -6an lines and fittings throughout the fuel system, Mallory return style rising rate fuel regulator and return lines with a MSD inline electric fuel pump mounted below the fuel tank level and a return line plumbed into the filler neck. stock distributor with a 4 pin HEI module (a six pin will play all kinda of weird timing games with you). Spectre 4in carb hat, 3" charge piping no intercooler, NX wet kit with 100hp shot using a nozzle instead of a carb plate to cool the turbo air. It runs well with out the bottle but it’s a mad man on the juice. No detonation even @ 15#, considering it still has 2.41’s in it

that carb is almost bigger then the intake :kekegay:

cool build. Sounds like it needs more gear. Maybe a 3.55 or 3.73.

EDIT: I see you have 3.42’s. That should work.

buicks love bigger then usual carbs

loveing the turbo swap,
if you ever deicide to go v8 down the line, the buick 350 is a direct swap…literely and easy to build yo 400 to 500 hp depending on cr.

Right you are about that!!!

Yes if I ever decided too go that route I still have the '75 buick 350 that came out of the '75 century pacecar and with the transmission hurst hatch roofs and the airplane shifter, the guy I traded to crushed the rest of the car and the 8.5 posi rear too bad though. least I got to buy back the engine and stuff

Very sweet,keep the pics coming!!
