i thing there cool little cars, when the dealer around here opened me and murray sat at it for 2 hours laughing our asses off at them and the fact that we could put one in the back of his truck. i don’t think i would ever buy one though, for the price i’d just build myself an og mini cooper to daily.

I think the smart car is not smart at all. why would u give up all that for gas millage when u can get the same mpg out of a tdi??

i totally understand what your saying. but for a single person or a married couple as a second vehicle or a city car it is awesome. I get 45 mpg just driving back and forth to work. and to fill it up (it has to take super) still only costs like $25 max. And as for the safety concerns, the built in “roll-cage” they call the tridiom is pretty cool. It is designed to absorb all the force in an accident. If you get a chance stop at the dealer, they have a cutaway of the car and it is pretty damn cool. And they were #1 in rollover in their class. 4 star front and rear impact and 5 star side impact. But they are still not for everyone.
