The reason people would have been out of BH is b/c they all probably own cars, maybe some even choppers that could fly them out. In NO i dont thik that is the same case. Its not b.c they are a certain color, its b.c they dont have the means to get out.

i dunno. i mean i somewhat i agree that there is a general favoritism and wealthy and white would probably be at the top of the catagory, but i think that in this case it was more just the government not taking the right steps to be prepared and just fucking up in general. i dont think there was any type of reason that kept them from going in for help. i cant see anyone from the government sitting there saying ’ well we should go help our ppl that r dying in N.O. but lets wait a couple days cause they r mostly poor or black’…no, i dont think it is driven by race or economical status. if the same thing happened down there and it was mostly whites or upper middle class i think the government wouldve went about it the same way…which was the wrong way

its taken days to save people trapped BECAUSE THIS IS A MAJOR DISASTER…not a movie where everyone gets saved. I put my money where my mouth was and donated regarless of race and class of the people. Does it piss me off that previously unproductive people are stuck now cause they didn’t have the money to get out and now we gotta bail them out again? hell yes!! For a city thats like 70% black and a good majority outta that got out of dodge…its obvious that good hard working black people got out. Maybe now people will see the effect of being a lazy social case and it doesn;t pay to be unpreductive and sit on your ass and collect checks, regardless of your color. For most of those people in N.O., i don’t really feel a bit bad for them. am i glad this happend to them? NO but i’m not sheading a tear either. Some of those people are perfect examples of how the welfare system is abused. Its not an excuse to pump out kids, sell crack and then beg for more. its for people unable to work because they are handicapped, elderly, unable to fully support themselves with a full time job. Its a kick in the face to see people living off mine and your dollar acting like that wearing brand new nikes that i could never afford. Thats a diservice to every hard working american. Hopefully the strong people will come out of this and the unproductive garbage will waste themselves away.
