i think that the reason the race card is pulled so much is because race is still a big issue in this country. Racisim goes both ways as we all know.
As an asian, my experience with race is so much differnt than black/white.
For example at work, some black and white co workers feel comfortable saying some pretty racist remarks or jokes towards there opposite race around me.
i feel you…my wife is worried about the same thing…not our kid’s views…but people viewing our child…my kid has a whole other can of worms to deal with.
but its similar to how i grew up…he’ll deal with it.

when i was in high school, someone told a jewish joke… i pretended i was jewish and took massive offence to it… you just reminded me of that… 
its just so easy to make fun of someone cause of their race! man i got some tough stereotypes to deal with.
that reminds me of a friend of mine… he’s Filipino, and everyone always knocks him with Chinese stereotypes… cause, you know, “phillipines, china… same difference”… :doh:

though i would lighten up this thread a bit. race is gonna be an issue. at least for now. maybe in the future our kids dont have to deal with it as much.
i think we just need to get everyone to fuck until all of our grandkids are light brown… no race, no racism… they can hate each other for more valid reasons…

regardless of what anyone thinks about me, racist or not, a black ex gang memember will be the best man when i get married. I didn’t view him any different than my white friends because he was black or didn’t have as much money. So when i say my best friend is black i mean it Some people use that as an excuse for some its the truth. when you treat eachother like family it don’t matter what color your skin is or how much money is in your wallet.
