I have never been to the Central Terminal, but could only imaging how nice it was back in the day. The place is huge and an architechural gem in Buffalo. Too bad it was neglescted in the past and the current neighborhood isn’t that great.
Nice pictures, we have driven down/around that place a few times during the winter, they have a members/supporters club where they give tours of the entire building once or twice a year, I would love to check out the upstairs!
There’s a group or something like that trying to restore the Central Terminal and the area around it.
Knowing how much it costs today to even have stone work a quarter as good as those buildings kinda turns my stomach knowing they were forgotten about. Parts of the Central Terminal were sold and auctioned off and are all over the world now. Buffalo was kinda a big deal or something back in the day.
Heck when they were tearing the AUD down, from the outside, it looked like they were taking down the wrong Arena. HSBC’s aluminum or what ever exterior looks like garbage, all mismatched colors and such. It was a good comparison driving on the skyway past them both.
