So you think they are the only manufacturer who crosses platforms? Really?
Ones that went under horribly?
GM, Ford and Toyota dominate the global market for a reason. Clearly your opinion does not match up to the billions of people who buy cars from them.
I like the idea, but really can’t associate the Buick nameplate with anything performance orientated. Maybe that will change if they start offering rwd manual trans cars with lots of HP.
The GN will only be available in black according to the article.
Right GM was bailed out and going forward was going to condense product lines.
Now they’re right back at re badging the ATS
Nostalgia sells… to a point. The Caddy line is exciting but this “copy” is… :meh:
Doesn’t it look photoshopped to anyone else?
Really cause i thought VW did?
Buick = old faggoty gay cars. Sorry. If think otherwise you can suck my penis. It’s average size.
LOL this made my day, I love mine, I had no intention of getting one at first but I came around
grill and wheels look ulgy. and yes to me it looks like a shot from forza or photoshop doesnt look real
Your point? VW does the same things with platforms.
Badge engineering was much worse before where the cars looked identical and they just swapped badges. At least now they are changing the lines and using the design language from each brand.

Agreed that is an ATS that has been chopped.
I’ll reserve judgement until I see what the actual model looks like, not some poor Photoshop job (clearly someone found the Brightness and Contrast tool). I’ve always liked performance Buicks, going back to the GS400s and the GSXs with 510 lb/ft of torque at 1800 rpm. If it’s a GN/GNX it should be a turbo six.
The direct injection twin turbo 6 should be a great engine. The rumored higher output one sounds like it has a lot of potential.
I didn’t say that. Tons of manufacturers share platforms between their brands. I tend to stay away from the ones that do.
You really don’t know what you are talking about. Don’t complain about GM rebadging cars when every other manufacturer does the same thing.
I’m completely aware other companies do it.
carry on
You really don’t know what you are talking about. Don’t complain about GM re badging platforms when they already taking sales away from themselves CTS vs. ATS:

I don’t 100% agree with: “The new sports sedan could well cannibalize sales from the CTS” I don’t think that every ATS sold is a direct steal from the CTS line as they are proposing. Maybe the ATS line is giving customers another option for sure, but what is to say they would have bought a CTS at all and not ventured into another brand instead had they not had the ATS option?
Are you insinuating that they have forgone journalistic integrity in favor of sensationalism?
I agree, with not agreeing 100%.
