Here’s some fresh ones from the weekend. I made good progress I think. Thursday I got the interior all back together and this time everything works! List of things fixed thurs:
Power seat
Power door locks,
power door lock actuator
lock cylinder on driver door hard to turn. (latch was frozen from being old as balls).
Stereo installed, & wired. 6x9s put in the deck.
Fixed my shop heater too! Heat FTW!
Thursday was fucking baller because I fixed everything without having to buy a single fucking part.
Saturday while wifey was at work I was able to get the tranny out too. First I dropped the pan, and it didn’t smell / look the greatest, so I was all like fuck it. I always wanted to rebuild a crapomatic anyways.

Steve, what’d you use to clean up the frame on your 66? I wanna clean the rails and paint em and maybe even do some mild plating…
I went to town with wire wheels on a drill. Yes it took a while. But I just took off the majority of the surface rust, then Por-15’d it. If you want to plate it you should bead blast the parts, it’s probably easier.
i think i’ll be wire wheeling myself into eternity… i don’t have a bead blaster, and i can use my grinder on the places i will plate.
