so i’ve seen some pretty harsh posts in here against others and their “builds”.
some of the guys here that i thought were alright, have shown their true colors that they really are jackasses.
yes, there are projects on here that arent really “builds”. in fact, i would say there are very FEW people on here that their projects are REAL “builds”.
in one instance, you have guys bashing someone else for just bolting on a couple parts on his project car. really? im sorry but EVERYONE starts out with swapping parts on their project cars. no one just starts out with a fuckin chop saw and welder and builds something from scratch for their first project. how the fuck do you think we learn as car enthusiats? its just like school, you start out counting apples, not doing fucking calculus.
i have alot of REAL “builds” that i have done, including cutting a racecar in half and rebuilding the chassis from scratch. alot of which i never posted on here, nor do i intend to because theyre not just ls1 swaps or turbos. i’ve also decided that I’m no longer going to update any of my projects that are actually on here.
none of the harsh posts on here that ive seen are related to me or anyone i really know, i just simply do not feel like sharing my projects on here anymore. there are too many assholes on here with ego’s the size of an elephants crap pile. theres no sense in putting down people while you sit at your computers eating cheetos. regardless of if the build is of interested to you or not, atleast appreciate the effort the person is putting into what they enjoy. if youre going to critisize, make sure it is constructive. damn.
Ummmmm…so deprive the people you defend from learning something from someone such as yourself with experience by not posting your “builds”. Makes perfect sense.
I do know and see what you mean though… I post updates to mine once in a while, mainly because it’s moving slowly, but also I know the feedback I’m going to get most of the time is going to be ball busting or just BS. I think the only person on here who can almost do no wrong on Builds is Newman.

This is a internet car forum if you haven’t figured out it takes tough skin you should probably take up knitting or some bs.
If you look back at UBRF a lot of domestic guys stopped posting because if it wasn’t honda/import stuff it wasn’t cool…Now NYSpeed is a decent mash up of import/domestic.
People who get their build threads shit up usually bring it on themselves having some history of being an asshat.
Does this apply to when you find it necessary to inform people how unimpressed you are with their car purchases like you did in my camaro, nova, and recently a chevelle posting?
