I have a 1991 mustang gt 5.0and I have mac shorty equal length headers and Ive been having trouble with spark plug boots melting they hit right up on the headers. So I bought some dei Spark plug wire protection boots part number 010501. I was wondering if anyone thinks these will work in keeping the boots from melting!!

I just ran the car around the block and pull 2 boots they are still melting lol I dunno how to fix this and the headers have a jet hot coating on them also!!
Get some zip ties and coordinate them so the boots don’t touch the headers? Do you have the plug wire brackets?
What number cylinders?
Had the same headers, problems with 3/5. used some zipties along with msd wire guides. also had custom length wires, look into those.
they where bought from laurel mountain mustang.
Try some heat wrap around the headers where they touch or almost touch.
