[LEFT]Polo uses a 1.9L inline-four, AME Racing claims, but as you can imagine, the mill is far from its stock counterpart: It features 13 injectors, a built bottom end, a reworked head, a massive Garrett GT40R turbocharger, and a custom water/air intercooler. AME Racing puts output at 1032-hp and 701 lb-ft of torque. Redline is 9400 rpm.

And the best part? That power goes through a six-speed manual that is connected to an Audi TT-sourced, all-wheel drive drivetrain. A run to 62 mph takes a claimed 2.3 sec, and AME Racing estimates the Polo is capable of over 185 mph.

Some projects are just so ridiculous you have to love them.

I had to correct the title after I re-read it and saw the audi AWD

I wonder what they did to beef up the Haldex system… because it’s most certainly not THAT strong stock. They like to blow up around 500awhp.
