[LEFT]Polo uses a 1.9L inline-four, AME Racing claims, but as you can imagine, the mill is far from its stock counterpart: It features 13 injectors, a built bottom end, a reworked head, a massive Garrett GT40R turbocharger, and a custom water/air intercooler. AME Racing puts output at 1032-hp and 701 lb-ft of torque. Redline is 9400 rpm.
And the best part? That power goes through a six-speed manual that is connected to an Audi TT-sourced, all-wheel drive drivetrain. A run to 62 mph takes a claimed 2.3 sec, and AME Racing estimates the Polo is capable of over 185 mph.
