No I haven’t…I’d like to give him a chance to make it right himself before I do that. I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt. From what I understand from him is that he’s a marine? Or serves in a military branch.
I’m not here to disrespect or flame the guy…I just want the coilovers or the $ back as anyone would!
That’s understandable. Well I hope it works out just know if you pay with your bank especially through paypal you will get your money back. It’s almost easier to scam a seller these days
Alright it was freaking 1am when I posted first, so the people saying to “put up or shut up” can beat it, I was sleeping. I posted here to warn people so that nobody gets screwed. Great to know vwvortex isn’t the only site where you get called a noob because of post count.
I bought a turbo from him, but didn’t have the full amount yet. I put down a $100 deposit and then the following week paid the remaining amount. No issue communicating with him until the final balance was paid. Then there was nothing except a bogus email response (pretty much like what was already posted).
There’s more than enough proof in here that this guy is scum, and anyone who locally knows this kid can deliver that info personally. I don’t really feel like uploading pages of text messages right now, but from what I have read so far in here…there is no need.
And yes…I ALWAYS use paypal and I already filed a claim…so I’m not worried. Just don’t like having my time wasted by idiots that need to be put away.
I’ve never had it not be instant and I’ve sent thousands via PayPal over the past few years. My transfers are always from my bank account taken from my account instantly.
Just saying. Hope everything works out for both parties.
Wow, That blows.
All I see is him responding respectfully back and forth up to the 20th, friday. Then no response over the weekend or yesterday. No offense man, but the dude busts his balls for people all day long, and is in the military… so answering a text message over $300’s worth of used car parts is probably the least of his worries at the moment. Hell, I run a business and its damn hard to get back to people that e-mail, message, call/leave a vm, or text me over the weekend becasue of how hard I am working on shit. Give him a bit of time, just becasue your schedule is free and clear, doesnt mean theirs are.
Also, I use paypal 10 times a week. Like JSE said, paypal deducts your bank/card instantly… but they hold the money to verify funds then release it to the vendor/seller MUCH later on down the road. You dont notice this becasue large venders ship the products on good faith more or less, if the buyer has fund issues, and paypal doesnt release the funds to the seller they are not in that deep of a shit pile and can send it to their accounts payable department and deal with it that way.
His last activity here was : Last Activity: 04-18-2012 01:38 PM
So chances are he wont see this for a while.
Thats the thing. EVERY member here lives in a 30 mile radius and most know everyone personally that sign in every day here. We meet in parking lots to exchange stuff. I understand thats not possible, but what my point is long distance transactions can be a pain in the ass, and a risk. Thats what you agree to socially when doing this. Not saying its right to scam someone based on that, I am saying its not always easy to complete flawlessly.
And no offense but if you took the time to hunt him down, find us here, post at 1AM, and then again today to keep the ball rolling, taking the 5 minutes out to gather evidence for your case is the difference between us not giving a fuck and calling our friend to see if we can help you guys.
I think it has to do with the level of the account. If its in good standing, confirmed addresses and confirmed bank accounts, etc. I remember having issues too at one point and I had to do this please confirm 3 different things like account deposit amounts, a phone call and a letter in the mail to get my account straightened out after having long delays for transactions.
But yeah, mine now works great, and is fast. I dont keep an eye on it because I dont keep a balance and only really deal with companies instead of people so the delay doesnt bother us at all, if there even is one.
I see where you are coming from. The fact that he hasn’t logged on to either forum would make sense after selling something and never sending it. Like the other guy posted communication with him was awesome until money was sent. I should have known something was up he seemed so desperate for me to send the money. And it does too draft right away ( if you request money from someone ) and they pay with a card instead of using their PayPal info ) it deducts right away. The $ came from my account around 7am Friday and didn’t post on my account until Monday…just as with any debt purchase over the weekend.
That wouldn’t be a problem if he didn’t KNOWINGLY sell the same item to two different people and each side having a different story. Not to mention the coilovers that someone has never received after A MONTH. I think that’s more than enough time to ship something out, especially when your walking around with someone else’s money in your pocket. You would think if he’s in the military he would know discipline and respect, which I see none from him.
I haven’t bashed him at all. I feel like I posted all the evidence needed for someone to possibly contact him that knows him. I’m a college student and I don’t always have 300$ to just throw away. I’m not accusing him of stealing just yet because I’m giving him a chance to make right. However if that is the case, theft is theft. It’s not necessarily the amount of money wether its a dollar or 300…it’s the principle.
I know him, can’t see him doing something like that intentionally. However, last I knew he’s not in the military? lol
Also that looks like the same number I have for him. Weird.
As a good friend, Bennyfizzle agreed to pay you guys your losses, please PM him with proof of the amount you have lost and he will promptly paypal you the amount.
Regards,
ninety1two40
You are a outstanding guy Benny! :number1
Yea, pretty sure Ryan’s not in the military… hopefully he can fix this up
One other person saying he’s scum is not enough proof. So yea, put up or shut up. Just because one person posted proof doesn’t mean that you don’t need to before you make accusations. If you don’t post your proof within 24 hours, your posts will be edited/deleted.
I wasn’t gonna say anything because I wasn’t sure but I didn’t think he was in the Marines haha
Yeah if Ryan’s in the military, then psi2high Is straight.
who lies about being in the military. That makes Status a scumbag in my book. He lied in the text from the start. So far Status is losing this battle.
DAMN. I just made a BAN thread about this shiz. LOL
