Hi , I am posting this for a friend. He would like to get some help and advice on buying a used super bike. A Yamaha R6 to be specific. If anyone can give a few tips or pointers to check out on the bike would be much appreciated. Thanks
yes check 2nd gear engagement. yammys are known for bad 2nd gears. also check head bearings, they on yammys tend to go south very quickly. also check out the quaility of the welds on the frame, they are poor and understress have been known to break. their clutches baskets arent the best either
we are goin to pick the bike up on sat, only has 3k miles on it ! def great shape
after riding two R6s in i can say i dont like them at all.

yo i agree wit quik Yamahas aint great at nothin but they aint bad most likely some puss rode it and barely abused it It only got 3K on it Depends wat u gonna do wit it (stunt, race, or ride around lookin pretty) R6’s do look aight , and how much u payin
an r6 is not a super bike.
