bwahahah!!! Maxima 3, VW and 6cyl Stang - 1

:dunno:

I followed an S4 with upgraded turbos and an exhaust for a while. Man did that thing sound good. What are those goin for now that the new V8 ones are out?

I prefer the older Max better too, but the new ones are nice…a little too big in my opinion but nice.
from all the reading i’ve done on it…they say it doesn’t handle well due to its size, and there is a shit load of tq. steer.

since they moved the max into a new size and increased the size of the altima to the older max size… new altima > new max

plus they are supposed to come out with a Altima SE-R…with available factory nismo add-ons

i think we were trapping somewhere around 108’s that day… :dunno:

once we started getting over 14-15% fuel correction, it started to really respond. Someday i will build another…a 4 door, roomy car w/leather…that could do 12’s …mmmmmm

doubtful… 1.8t with chip + exhaust = my car… my car > maxima

atleast the Maxima can beat some stangs, your prelude was a dog from what i heard :booty:

I heard pretty bad things about the Altima SE-R. Supposedly it only having like 15hp more than the standard Altima. I’m no expert, but heard its not worth what Nissan is going to want for it. Rumored $4500 more than the Altima.

new altima 3.5= :wackit:

right. thats the one that beat me.

i run 15.1 to 15.4 all day long and my car even broke into the 14s last october with a 14.92 at englishtown NJ at SLP days…thats with my friend driving but most of the v6 camaro usually run15.4 to 15.8 depends on driver and auto vs stick…seriously v6 stangs run stock hi 15s low 16s …they weigh as much as a GT also but i am sure there are some freaks out there but to be in the 14s i highly doubt it

other one must of been a vr6 :greddy:

actually they run about a half a second quicker than the V6 Camaro, they weigh about 300lbs less than a GT

High 14s is a very fast time for a 5spd V6 Mustang, they average more like 15.1-15.3.

But at the end of the day, the V6 Stang is Faster than the V6 F-body

so your telling me a v6 stang runs 14.5

read my edit, but youre way far off with your estimate

at the track i never seen one run faster than a 15.7…and i raced a few and never lost to one…i highly doubt they run faster than a v6 camaro and trust me mine is stock only MOD is minus air bags and a red top battery

what “you” see at the track is not always the rule of thumb as to what happens. Most people who buy the V6 models do not have any interest in drag racing. Although you sometimes get the person who wants to run their beater 6 cyl for shits and giggles.

I’m going with you on this…

V6 stangs(manuals cause the autos are dogs) aren’t even quicker then SVT contours…
stock to lightly modded SVT’s run aprox 14.8-15.4

and they have a ford v6 shootout every year and talk about it on the contour forum…and i rarely hear about v6 stangs beating SVT contours.

they got some decent tq. but if you can get a good launch the contour will beat it all day on the top end.

i’ve even seen time slips of modded contour SE’s and V6 Cougars (same engine) giving v6 stangs a run.

there are a lot more then you would think

ya www.v6power.net theyre pretty diehard, but they dont even represent 1% of the v6 stang drivers

i drove both and would have to say the stang is faster

I beat stock 5.0’s in the Prelude. :kekegay:
