when they show them side by side in the beginning, im suprised at how much smaller the 2010 camaro is compared to the GT500.
Both cars are sick…

what i got out of that was the mustang is for bitches and the camaro is for the real guys
what i got out of that was put a pulley on the mustang and go out and shit all over camaros. way to compare a modified car to a stock one.
lol
the only thing that sucks on that camaro is the handling… .83g’s sucks. Back in 01 (my car) it was pulling .93g’s with a straight axle…and GM couldnt get better then that in 2010 with a IRS setup??
but the price of that GT500 is still more then a 2SS with the Hennessey supercharger…
so with the money to spare between the camaro and mustang, I would choose to camaro and take a vacation with my waad of extra cash I saved.
put a stock gt againt a stock ss see what happens fanboi. lololol
diff chassis ,heavier body
or a cammed GT against a cammed SS
even better yet, a pullied Cobra against a cammed SS LOLLLL
The Shelby is a modified GT…
Compare an SS to a GT if you want stock for stock.
a better comparison for the GT would be the 2010 V6 since they have almost the same power and weight… 14.0 @ 100 is within 2010 GT range.
very true …o/t how did the dyno sesh go on thurs drew???what were ya before the cam also
I didnt go. Morgan called me at 2 thursday (my appointment was at 4) and said he wouldnt be able to do it because he had a car on the dyno all day that was having serious problems he couldnt figure out and he needed to get the car out of the shop. I have been too busy to make a new appointment and right now im looking at buying a Bassanni True dual over the axle exhaust for my car so im saving Mula.
I made 351rwhp/355rwtq on his dyno before the cam and tune. Only factory intake and full exhaust.
thtas where i should be now wit my car ,dude i was lookin at that bassani it could be made a lot cheaper and cleaner for cheaper
yah but they are the only company that make true duals over the axle which is where they get ya.
still havent decided. I might buy the SLP LM1 again since I have two bassani mufflers laying around that I could fab in before my exhaust tips…it would prolly sound great,.
Wow, the SS needs MORE ci AND a blower to keep up, and still cant all that well lol.
I dont see the SS with the Henessey package being less than 43K. Henessey=$$$. Think about it, a 4K+ blower, suspension, tire, labor, etc etc. That car has to be all of 50K…
Less than a grand and that 500 would be shittin all over the SS!
last time I checked, 4.3 0-60 was faster then 4.6…so in other words, The GT500 cant keep up all that well
thank you.
My point about stock vs not stock is the fact that Ford builds the GT500 IN HOUSE. It doesn’t go anwhere special. same plant. Just like the cobras. Therefor it is STOCK. GM sends there cars to someone else to make them quick. (Hennessy).
And you can’t compare a GT to an SS. Ford has always, and will always loose that battle every time until they start putting decent power in the GT.
Oh and that blower install on the Camaro is GORGEOUS looking. :thumbup
The Camaro is 1000000000 ^10 times better looking than that Ford POS. I don’t know what is so attractive to you folks about the new Ford. Is it powerful yes? Does it look like shit? YES.
That Camaro is one sexy looking car. And that’s coming from someone who typically wouldn’t be caught in anything other than a Corvette or Pickup.
I think they are both great looking cars.
Its .3 off of a HEAVILY modded SS, that I just found out retails for $59,000!!!
The GT500 handles WAYYY better, with an “old” SRA, while the SS has the lastest and greatest IRS. Put an intake on the 500 for $200 and you will pick up more than .3…
