***2.5x bodyweight, especially for Travis since he’s lean. And there are different kinds of protein. 2 scoops does not generally mean 40grams of protein.
And may I also suggest picking up casein protein? There’s an anabolic and catabolic state. A lot of people don’t understand that sleeping is a catabolic activity and if you’re trying to add muscle you do NOT want your stomach to be empty. Consume yourself a mix of whey/casein immediately before bedtime. It should last in your system for roughly 8hrs.
Lastly, I would cut out all cardio. If anything, its hindering your results. Again, you do not want to be in a catabolic state, you want your body to constantly be consuming / digesting the proper nutrients. no2 helps that since its a hemodialator. To add muscle you need to take in more calories than your body digests in a day. All cardio is doing is bringing you down to that threshold which is going to be the difference between good gains and great gains.
2 scoops of most regular whey (not weight gainer, etc), is roughly 40-48 grams of protein. No arguing that. I threw out 200g as a ballpark-he’s probably not even hitting that now.
Casien is over rated, unless you are not taking in a good protein source more then 5 hours before you go to sleep.

im trying to gain weight, BUT i need to stay reasonably nimble… remember i play hockey… and for those times when i piss someone off i cant “beat up”… gotta be able to run fast enough. :lol… the cardio keeps me in shape as far as that goes.
