what are the world records for evo’s? is this new build still considered a street car as the last one was? or is this now a strictly track car
Nervous? I’m happy as shit to see some progress! Being in a business, everyone else’s cars are far more important than our own, the shop always needs a new tool and the car goes on the back burner.
I honestly didn’t expect to see the ricer out until spring 2010! And it still may not get done, but I hope everyone gets to make it out this year one last time before it snows and see some good times out of NY.

Edit- I think we should set up a track rental and just get as many people from both forums out. Some grudge races but mostly just for a fun day of racing! I know I am not the only one that didn’t get enough track time this year.

There are a bunch of 9 second full trim street cars. I think this year there are about 8 or 9 street cars (defined by passing inspection and driven to/from the event) at 9.0xx, in a battle to get an 8 second pass.
Fastest Evo is in the 7’s I think? Not sure. Looking at any car that goes that fast makes me so happy that I got to where I am at, without killing my bank account :eekdance:

I went with that record as it is relevant to Emery’s car being an 8 and thats what most people think of when they here “Evo” are the 8 models and up.

Yes, our car is set up this year to go 8’s. With the help from some great people/ shops it is very possible.

Not in the 7’s. That car is totally different. The ones in the 8’s are still the factory “style” though, at least most of them.
Just like you, I spent $$ on a good trans first thing this year, and it so paid off!
Not sure on the 7 second car but the AMS car just has an $1600 trans upgrade. thats it.
Emery has good stuff in his car so it should pay off

Its a 91 mustang 306 turbo.run mid tens. I have only been to the track one time this year because of issues but would like to have some races b4 its too late
So this is going down on the 19th or the 26th?
