Camera vehicle.

I just realized I don’t own anything that can be used for back of car video shootage, well besides the Miata, but it’s not exactly safe to do so with the top down, it’s too low and too bumpy.

Anybody have any good ideas for a chaser vehicle which can be used for video? I need something where the back window can be opened out of sight and the camera man can just sit in the back and shoot from there with no chaser car showing.

Any ideas appreciated!

legally, I doubt a truck would work… I would say it def needs to be a convertible. Or just a camera on a suction cup mount to the rear passenger glass with a wide angle lens.

Yeah but I would like it to be something that can be “tracked” as it passes even slightly.

A lot of inspiration comes from top gear, where they use IIRC a Toyota SUV with the rear window opening.

If there is a lack of other options, I’ll have to mount a camera on top of the rollcage of the Miata and deal with that. Edit out the pieces of the car that appear, or create some sort of camera mount above the trunk.

if you get a rollcage or rollbar like you wanted you can just put my cage mount on and point the camera on the back. you can throw a wide angle adapter on and it wont show the car

I think you will need a van or something. Too bad my colbalt had a trunk instead of a hatch like the integra.

Just realized we can use just about any vehicle as long as the seats collapse.

We can eve use my subaru. Golden

Thanks to top gear US.
