For all we know, the vette could have been stock.

good to see some dig runs

Camry is still gay

agreed. perhaps fast, but it looks like something my grandmother drives.

:greddy2:

and a vette looks like something every grandpa drives.

fast sleeper>fast sports car

To each his own…I rather drive a car that was built for perfomance from the factory and perfoms awsome on a roadtrack as well as a straight line.

:bigthumb: Def nice for a camry. Its nice to see diffrent stuff even though its not based originally off of a performance platform.

explain your garage queen :booty:

:stick: sorry nope

ya um…not supercharged:bluez28:

getting beat by a vette or viper is nowhere as bad as being beat by a camry or minivan sleeper, so yea, you’re wrong.

You can’t hear the vettes supercharger whinning? I can hear the high pitched sound from the blower as it gets destroyed by the camry.

Plus lets face it, a c4 vette isnt that fast from the factory. What maybe 14’s? So with a blower MAYBE low 13’s/high 12’s? Trap speeds probably around the 110 range?

At bare minumum that camry has a 2.2 liter 4cly in it. Plus I think you’re underestimating how much power a GT40R turbo cranks out. And for someone to go with such a large turbo on a Camry, I’m guessing the bottom end probably isnt stock.

We can specualte all we want about whats done to either car… either way the “performance” yellow vette got smoked by an old lady car. :kekegay:

Good video.

We specualate about u all the time but wither way ur still gay:cuddle:

Eh…that’s quite a good bit off.

The early-mid 80s C4s did in fact run mid-14s.

The later (87-91, I believe) TPI L98 C4s can go high 13s with a manual.

The LT1 C4s (92-97) go mid-13s easily with a manual (and 14.0 as per mags with an automatic). They run about the same as LS1 Fbodies at the drag strip.

The later C4s are very stout performers.

As I said, i’m really not sure of those years of vettes. From experience, I’ve never seen them run very well. Hell everytime i see a stock C5 at the track it only goes mid 13’s. I just assumed the c4’s were a good bit slower.

Either way, if that C4 from the video runs mid 13’s stock. Then that camry must be in the low 12’s at least.

I didnt realize thats a V6 camry… heres another vid of it at the track

12.93@117 on regular street tires with a 2.4 sixty foot time.

I love that car, definitely original :bigok:

With good drivers C5 vettes are in the 12’s, LT1’s are low-mid 13’s, and L98’s are low 14’s. But that is stock and those rides weren’t stock…so it could be the camry is faster or it could be the vette had a terrible driver. But the camry won…to some that is sweet to others they could care less about a family car that rips. I myself prefer cars that look awsome and are made from the factory to perfom awsome as well. To each their own either way.
