Apparently so…:lol:One of my friends was driving his Z28 this weekend on the G.I. Thruway and there was a cruiser in the left lane doing approx. 75mph. So, this friend passes him on the right at over 80mph…LOL…gets better…so the cop pulls him over, asks him to rev his engine…cool…ask him if he was on his cell phone and where the front plate is? Two tickets and a thank you.:nite:
Ummm. :bloated: State Park Police is just a division of the State Police. They have full authority anywhere in the state.
one of them like the conservation police or something, can search with out suspicion. They can pretty much do anything, and i think they still get guns too!!

You must have missed the “Apparelty So…” in the body of the thread.

yes the DEC
lols. park police ftw
i am pretty sure national park rangers have as much if (and i want to say maybe MORE) authority than federal marshals. i had a friend who was applying to be one in CO and he said that as one of the perks.
sucks to be your friend. at least it is a good story to tell people
< immune to State Park Police … BWAHAHAHAHA!

Ya, first day he had the car out too. I just could help but laugh when he told me the story. Oh well, lesson learned I guess…
yea and there not friendly at all my dad got a seat belt ticket by one guy screamed at him for 40 minutes
I had one pull me over on the robert moses before on my way back from canada when i was 19, probably fishing for a DWI cause he saw a car full of kids…douchebag x1000. When he stopped hassling and interrogating me and realized he had nothing, he tried to tell me he pulled me over because of my “illegal” radar detector. I told him that i could understand him confusing my firebird for a camaro, but it doesn’t even look like a semi.
Believe it or not… DEC officers are one of the most power agents in the country. One of two agencies that can arrest the president if i remember correctly.

Conservation officers have a higher authority than state troopers.
They can search without a warrant
seize any and ll firearms without reason
cause a shitload of trouble
Considering that part of their title is “police” it probably shouldn’t come as a surprise.

What about NFTA Police?
[/quote]
NFTA covers like the both the niagara falls and buffalo airport, bus stops/stations, subway stops and stations, and basically anything NFTA has a control or ownership over such as park and ride lots, bike path near lake erie, etc.
Its really up to where the line is drawn on property. If an Amherst cop is chasing you, technically you can drive onto a state campus and not be touched…until of course the State university police find out and throw your ass in jail.
