Car audio, amp problem

so about 6 months ago, i noticed i wasnt getting any bass in the car, so i checked the amp… both fuses had blown… so i put new fuses in, and the amp started to smoke…

yesterday i was motivated to try to make it work, so i reinstalled it and smoke started pouring out again… so NOW i decided to try a different amp and the second i plugged everything in, the fuse in the new amp popped too…

im getting discouraged by my lack of progress… the fuse that is inline next to the battery still is intact…

what could be causing this… im bored and need bass again, anybody wanna help me out… any advice?

Check your ground.

Disconnect the signal input and see if the fuse still pops.

something is grounding out where it shouldnt… trace all your wires and make sure nothing wore away and the coating of the wires and is touching. a quick check would be to make a jumper wire right from your battery both + and - hook the amp up right by your battery if it powers on with no issues it in your wires

the first amp was garbage… i rewired everything aside from the power and ground, and its working well…

thanks
