AEM ~1800-2k for the supras
then bench press contest!!! haha jk
unless your a professional race team that has BOKU bucks to spend on the car, motec is completely overkill.
Ems plus tune from a reputable tuner is 2800 or so. Give or take.
Motec is pricey, but its the best., but an AEM box has gone 7.91 @ 188 in a 6speed supra. so it must not be that bad. ryan woon made 1405rwhp all boost on AEM… just ryan saw a few bad boxes and is afraid of it.
new boxes are coming out soon…should be a lot better
More than six people have had issues but I’m not against aem. But w/e might as well delete this thread before it gets out of control.
megasquirt is awesome, it has tons of features, you just have to build it all from a blank board. which many people get pysched out about
a thread isn’t good untill it gets off topic!!!
just use torco additive and a pair of visegrips clamped on the return line for tuning
and im sure people have had their share of problems with the VPC, but you still use it.
ive experienced it on a DSM, different animal, same box, the vpc is limited in its capabilities, but does what its designed to do, to a certain point… its dependant on the quality of the install, who tunes it how it will operate. even a motec m6/m800 will have problems if joe blow installs and tunes it.
If you are running the same fuel across 15 psi of cells something is compromised. Its going to be fat down low or lean up top. Some people set their tuning expectations higher than “it didn’t blow up”
Well you work for Synapse… so I’m taking this 100% seriously and doing just that.
lance you know I wouldn’t steer you wrong
if my car was OBD Exempt, SEM all day. Autronic SM4…piggy backs and chip tuning FTL.
motec is more than 3k…lol 3k is the price for the 4cyl application.
:rofl, check your PM’s
the m600 PnP for the 2JZ is on sale currently… its a bargain at 4400
