Car fire at Basil - Wellsville

lol at the one-liners. I’ve been getting a steady flow of them since yesterday morning. The truck is totaled and will be sent back to GM. They usually will donate that tpe of vehicle to a technical school because the liability that goes along with re-selling something involved in a fire is too much, especially when it is a brand new vehicle.

So - just curious - how do the customer cars get handled? Since it was a(n unsold) GM car that caused it, will GM reimburse the people whose trucks were damaged by the fire?

Our truck wasn’t the primary vehicle, that was a customer’s vehicle so their insurance and ours will argue over who needs to pay. Since it was in our control we do have some liability although not much. In the picture of the OP the blue truck on the far left is the new one, the three trucks to the right are customer vehicles.
