I’m not sure how many of you are into asphalt circle track racing, but there is a car show scheduled for Saturday October 22 at the Fox Chapel High School that is a benefit to support the Fox Chapel High School Racing Team.
Led by Industrial Arts Teacher Ken Grimm, the team consisting of about 30 students, past students and a few parents, the team used to race a Pro-Truck at Motordrome Speedway for the past 3 years. When the track dropped the division mid season in 2005, they needed to come up with a new plan. So for 2006 they will be building a Late Model Stock Car to race at Jennerstown Speedway on Saturday nights in '06.
This one really caught my eye since I am a member of the local motorsports media as well as a 1979 graduate of FCHS. (Yes I’m that old!)
