Carbon Fiber Fender Flares

yeah… you guys probably wont buy these but i dont give a shit… i made them because it’s soooooooooooooooooooo much cooler than anything else i had done this week.

$400 shipped.

And even if you cant afford them you at least better admit that you are in love with them. If you cant do that then you are very possibly a woman or a homo… in which case, they would look incredible in your new bathroom.

Yeah…

The finish is not a professionally applied clear coat. it is just a basic sheen. I expect that you will apply your own professional clear or paint them or just buy them to say you have them because all your friends will be jealous. If not, get new ones that will be.

Yes there is a layer of fibreglass on the rear but this is NOT a CF overlay. Overlay is when you take something like your dash or trim panals and wrap them in CF. This is a carbon fiber panel reinforced with a single layer of fibreglass to strengthen and add flexibility to the piece.

any shots of them applied on?

no mounted shots… the only ones i can think of would be Mikey’s S14 kouki that had the flares molded in.

you should make these for ae86 people

i dont think these style flares go well on 240sx at all

however on a ae86 they look amazing

i wouldn’t put these in my bathroom either maybe in the toilet

how much for all four?
I wonder If I would get tire rub on them cuz mine is lowered. What do you think?

price listed includes all 4.

the point of running the flares is to avoid tire rub when running SERIOUS wheels. Like serious busines OMG those are ridiculous-type wheels.

like an 10.5 +0 et or even more aggressive than that. If you’re trying to squeeze 275’s on a 11 +5 under the rear and like a 9.5 -20 under the fronts or something you will need theses flares

would it make sense that if a flare of that size isn’t required that they could be trimmed somehow to fit some slightly less aggressive wheels?

I am sure that you could do that, they have been modified in many ways by various people, but i could not advise you on how to go about doing that.

my only advise for you john is that you take out a huge loan of say like $15,000 and place an order for a large quantity of fender flares.

yikes take it easy over there bingx0r.

I just sold my wheels so I’m thinking about doing 17x10 / 17x9 instead of the weaksauce 9.5 and 8.5 i had before. (sorry walter, but your new wheels are weaksauce small)

however I’m gonna go a bit crazy with my tires next time. I’m considering doing 275 on the front… so this means I’ll need to get some reasonably low offset (+15 i’m thinking) and then a massive (and likely ugly) pull, an over fender, maybe a smallish flare or some sort or a custom metal flare. sigh what to do…

it’s funny, i put all of this effort in to this bullshit and my car will never even drive again. idiot.

meh, take it to SG… it’ll be running next month.

hey bing, these are the fender flares that are similar the to the 240zx flares, no?
(best example i can think of is the S30Z in Wangan Midnight)
i might be interested, but i hope these will fit my S12 ('86 200sx)

I know there have been guys who have mounted these flares on their s12, however, i recall on an S12 forum that they did require some work, they were not straight bolt up.

hmmm
hopefully they’ll still be for sale when im ready to pick up a set. i’ll come by and test fit if possible

how do you mount these?

rivets, mold it in, body clips, certain adhesives can do it… there are a variety of ways.

i will have pics of these flares mounted on a SIIIIIIQQQQQ SC400 in the next couple days. I shot the pics but i wont be able to upload for a couple days
