think about it people— carlise is mild compared to some of the shit i seen at bmx races or at state college. Compacts @ Carlise, to people in god fearing, simple life Carlise residents is as close as it comes to the apocalypse (sp?). However, the antics we have seen at carlise are nothing compared to the shit cops at psu see…half the shit they wouldn’t even give a fuck about im betting…

Thats what im saying… if anyone has ever been to High Point Raceway for the AMA Motorcross racing weekend knows that Carlisle was absolutly nothing compared to events like High Point… 2 years ago a brand new Chevy van got torched to the ground & the state police came in w/ helicoptors & in riot gear, they were arresting people and throwing them in school buses & taking them to the district justice in Waynesburg. That was one CRAZY weekend… maybe thats why High Point is getting removed from the AMA circuit. If anyone was there im sure you can relate to what im saying.
As I said before Carlisle was not too bad when you had all us young people stuffed in a cow town w/ nothing to do, but now you take all these young people into a STATE COLLEGE town which is already loaded w/ bars, girls, and other college students. Its a recipe for disaster… thats why I might go this year! Should be fun… not sure I would want my car sitting on the streets that weekend :finger:
never been to High Point, but ive been to Steel City in Delmont about 3 times. I know all about the crazyness that can ensue. I wish I would have been there for the crazy race that you are talking about. That woulda been great. A couple years back Mike (the one you met down here at OC) got tossed 10 minutes after getting back from a beer run. He pulled into the campgrounds and immediately started doing badass donuts in his WRX (which was loud as fuck and putting down over 300hp). Cops jerked him out of his car, made him walk to the edge of the property and had a cop drive his WRX to the road. Thank god they didnt look in the back seat, in which he had a 3’ hookah (which wasnt used for Hookah Tobacco), several ounces of oregano, and a 8 gallon keg (he was like 16 at the time).
That being said, I think Carlisle might be a total clusterfuck, in a good way. Like back in 2000. I might just have to see this shit in person. 
Well if you already didn’t get rooms, you better get them now if you don’t want to get priced gouged. We lucked out and got our big ass suites for 149 a night. The hetels that have openings have already staretd to jack their prices. rooms at the holiday inn that are 1/3 the size of ours went from 75 a night to 158 a night last week.
(unfortunatly uless people from our group back out we are filled to the gills between our two rooms.)
