Cary Safe

Made in good 'ol Buffalo NY.

but currently located in Rochester, near RIT.

Best offer. Google tells me any where from $200-500.

you pick it up and figure how to get it out of the basement (kinda steep stairs to the garage)

Awesome safe. You have the combo I presume?
Someone is getting a nice deal and a broken back at the same time.
GLWS

You presume wrong but it is open the the handle opens/closes the lock mechanism.

Better to presume than ASSume I suppose. LOL
I would think that should be in the first post…kind of pertinent information IMO.

Here are the stairs:

I’m gonna throw caution to the wind and hope interested parties read the thread. But i’ll include it in future iterations of the ad, like when I put it on cl soon.

So you’re selling a box for $200 to $500. Because without a combination a safe is just a box.

CORRECT!

edit: I’m sure its a lot easier for a locksmith to determine the code if the door is open rather than locked shut.

Im sure a good lock smith could get the combo?

With the door open anyone can get the combo. just remove the inner panel and you will be able to see the tumblers. Then you can work the dial until you figure it out.

bump!

Exactly^ I had to do the same on the safe we got with our house. You can also change it.

Estimated weight? hundreds, or close to a thousand lbs?

I moved it about the floor myself with a decent amount of effort. I would say definitely less than 500 lbs.
