im realy dissapointed in his resignation, social life/mistakes has nothing to do with politics, i can see conservatives being super upset being thats there nature but not the dems. He was a good congressmen regardless of his wiener picture. lol If they were to run every person in politics outta office because of dirt/sex/scandals there would be noone left. lol maybe thats the revelution we need.
I think it was less about the social mistake and more about how he handled it. He flat out lied and said he was hacked. Then when the convo with the 17 year old came out there was no chance he was staying in office.
I still thought he should have stayed in. I thought Lee could have too but the next one that was about to drop was a tranny, that would have finished him off.
On another note this, combined with our special election, just made NY redistricting a hell of a lot easier. They were looking to cut one Dem downstate and one Republican upstate and had a million different potential maps. Now, this seat gets whacked, they find a placeholder to run for it, and the surrounding districts get a little bit bluer. Also, since Kathy Hochul won, Ann Marie Buerkle, the first term teabagger from Syracuse in a swing district that is expected to lose in 2012 anyway, gets knocked out for the upstate seat.
