but the land on top of that… shag carpet is awesome
im talkin land and all depending on where you live, where did you get this place at?
North Hills Estate’s… that property is well worth what you paid! Nice area, good schools but high taxes
It’s all Location… We have 1.1 acres and a 2 story… 3 bedroom… 2 full / 2 half bath house in Latrobe and we only paid 10,000 more…
But it all depends on where you need to live in rrlation to your job or family…
That’s what the Petty’s keep telling me
Thats not shag carpet
shag carpet looses keys and money.
congrats
grats man looks nice.
shag carpet loses it’s socks
never buy a house because it’s close to your work.
Why not? who wants to drive an hour or 2 to work and back each day? Unless you get paid for it or drive whatever for a living. I personally would rather not drive at 7am.
priceless
what? you didnt like happy days?
its about 6-8 miles
How many times does the average person change jobs?
How many different houses does the average person buy in a lifetime?
I am 29 and have had 7 different jobs all in different parts of the city and have had only 1 house. It doesn’t make sense to buy a house just because it’s close to your job. Maybe you get another job offer in a few years that is 2 hours away, will you move your family so you don’t have to drive a long way to work?
riiighht i think the point brad is making is that if you live 20 minutes from the ‘city’ or where ever the ‘jobs’ are then it’s a hell of a lot better than commuting 1.5 to 2 hours into town just to save some cash on a house!!! i bet if you really work out the numbers the commute over a year or two will add a considerable amount of money to your spending… it’s all irrelevent… getting to work is not negotiable, so it’s money spent… if you’re 20 minutes thats a hell of a lot nicer than 45 or 90…
you’re in the south hills… what a 40 minute with traffic drive downtown? tha’ts not terrible and that is ‘close’ to the city… it’s sure as hell not rural like latrobe!! that’s in a different freaking county and is a 40 minute drive going 100 mph with no traffic!!! of coarse property and house value is going to be different
i’d buy a house for it’s location, any day of the week… what location is important to a person is a personal opinion… duh
true
my job location meant nothing to me when looking for a house. I drive 45 minutes to work and it’s 11 miles. I could get a job 2 minutes away from my house or I could get a job 1.5 hours away from my house, it really doesn’t matter to me. I won’t move unless I have to travel over 2 hours, that would fucking suck.
houses are for pussies.
congrats, when is the party?
dunno. got some work to be done first.
I didn’t buy a house because it is close to my work… But I also would not buy a house in Pittsburgh and drive to Latrobe???
I bought this house because it close to everything without feeling like you’re in town.
5 miles to the mall…
5 miles to work…
5 miles to groceries…
so on…
But our neighbors cannot reach out their windows and knock on our house…
I agree
