CNC Machining a billet compressor wheel

Come to my work if you want to see some sweet ass CNC machining going on, we have plenty of custom made parts being machined everyday.

Kenny works at Atlas Copco

billet wheelzzz yum

so sick

Ok, hmm…Maybe it’s you. Where do you work? My father works a a place in Latham that does a ton of CNC stuff. PVA or something?

I took a tour of Atlas. It was pretty sick. Too bad they were letting everyone go, I would have liked a job there.

When did you get the tour? We have been really slow lately, but its starting to pick up quite a bit. I work in the service department so even with the slow down, our department didn’t have many layoffs.

Spring of 09, I believe. We had a dude who worked there that went to school with us at hvcc and he set the tour up I think. Pretty cool stuff.

and all I want is a simple mill to make some kk parts. lol at the end there is insane, the minute amount of material being taken off and twisting it around to get the tool in the right spot its so sick.

I work up in Clifton Park, company is called Everett Charles Technologies, we make testing equipment for circuit boards.

you cnc boys accept side jobs?

I’m not a machinist unfortunately… plus they are so backed up with parts we need that there is no way I could even think about doing side work in it… lol
