I’ve started to look into what I want to find when I get back and typically the good deals and nice cars pop up when you are not in immediate need to buy a new car so I was hoping for some help.
I have a small shopping list and if anyone spots one of these cars for sale for a good deal over the next few months please let me know:
Mercedes Benz Cosworth 190e
2nd Gen MR2 (turbo)
Integra Type-R (unmolested)
E36 M3 (2 door or coupe)
3rd Gen Rx7 (no swaps)
E31 850i/ci
E30 M3
Skyline R33 (legal, any trim)
again, i’m not looking for a particular price on any of these and I know I have a huge range in values (especially to the highest trim and best condition). What I am really looking for is a good value for the money whatever the amount is.
2 on ebay right now, but I won’t be buying an ebay car unless I’m home.
Pre-OBD2 just happens to be the cars I like. Had the honda, had the subaru, had the E36 325i. Now need to own these ones to taste the rest of the lot.
And yes, price range is in fact $5-$40k.
Yea, not a fan of that ad. There was one on ebay with 16,000 original miles for somewhere around $16k. I wish i was home I would have flown out to look at it.
Have a 93 190e auto sitting at the top of my driveway lol Its my Dads car, make an offer! Black on tan leather, solid body, runs a bit rough at cold, and shifts like a race car when it feels like it.
I know a guy with a 190e 16v, I highly doubt he would ever sell it though haha… I’ll put the word out for you though, he works for a company in NC that remanufactures MB electronics and might know of a car somewhere
That 190e was 6k, I tried to buy it and it had already sold. Good to see some asshat flipping it :facepalm got the Slk instead, so I guess it worked out lol
Now that I actually read it, says he had it 12 years, so it was one that looked just like that and also 5spd
I think I found an R33 in miami for a decent price. Any tips on ensuring it has the correct paperwork? They said federally titled which I think is a good thing but I’m not tracking “bond-released”
Also tracking the EVO ecu thing, that’s not a problem. They are tough to find though.
Sorry, looking for manual trans for all cars.
That MR2 is clean as hell, but priced a tad high for even a mint one. 190e is way overpriced.
i and not ci? Do you know what shape its in? I found a low mileage i in the buffalo area but it’s auto… .I need to research if they even came in 5spd. If not, that car would be off the list.
I don’t like the 2nd gen boxy style at all and really dont want an NA one.
