Most “computer recyclers” are simply exporting old computers to foreign countries where they sit in overseas landfills un-recycled. Better off just putting it on your curb, or at least try and donate equipment to a reputable “reuse” organization. Some organizations use older machines, for example, to train the homeless or at-risk youths for modern employment.
