Because you guys are sick of my simple computer questions I have decided to hire someone who can help. The fact is I need to hire someone for purchasing but I don’t need a full time computer person so if my purchasing person can help with computers it is a win/win. The challange will be to find a computer geek with enough interpersonal skills to correspond with sales people. This position includes purchasing anything from paper towels to carbide tooling to hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of metals.
Pay depends on experience, etc.
Benefits include: personal time, vacation, 401K(5% of first 20% match), healthcare(about 50% paid), possible bonus/profit sharing, 7 paid holidays.
You guys joke about me being old but I am the youngest person in my office. Now maybe you understand why I have no one to go to here for computer questions. lol
I know it is a long shot but, you never know.

Ballpark pay or range? I’m prolly out of the budget but am always looking for new challenges.
I have about 14 years in the computer industry via helpdesk/retail etc…
I spent 10 years at Ingram Micro as a tech which required computer skills, people skills AND bowstaff skills. LOL
Sounds like a great opportunity for somebody here! Gas isn’t cheap and time is more valuable than money to me…so a long commute kills it for me.
Good luck with the hiring Mike. If you need any input on helpdesk qualifications or resume credentials feel free to bounce me a PM.
Did you ever fill this position? It’s so HARD to get good help! We just had a guy quit (IMO rightfully so and nothing I caused) and another guy via temp…let’s just say didn’t work out either.
I’ve had 2 super workers out of 10. 2 or 3 were pretty good and the rest were not good or worse.
Bump. I seriously need to fill this position, at this point I can not get other things done that need to be done.
Please let me know your username so I have an idea of who you are. In the past people have sent resumes to me but I may have no idea who you are or what your real name is.
$20.00/hour is about the most I could pay. That does not mean I will pay just anyone that much, it means someone who has good qualifications could make that much.
With that benefits package you’d be paying way more than $20 an hour. Given the cost of health care and other benefits I always wonder why companies don’t post the total compensation value to entice candidates. Just not common? I wish I was out that way and less seasoned, I’d like to work for you.
