WANTED: better job

just like the title says… i’m looking for something better than what i currently have.

if anybody knows anyone who’s hiring as well, let me know what you have.

thank you for your time.

you should probably list your skills… :nod

He’s a professional tube sucker

are you a car guy that works on cars? or are you the guy who works in the office? :ponder

I’m with pete though for srs.

Skills include a huge customer service background, large working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products, and a knack for mindless tasks…and I think pretty good on my feet too :nod

Going to school this fall, just looking for something that pays a little better and is more challenging/more geared towards an intended career relating to computer science…looking for $12+/hr

okay… my skills include:

-diagnosis/ repair of vehicles
-knowledge and experience in bodywork
-installed car audio for over 8 years

etc…

i really know at least a little bit in other areas as well… carpentry, painting, masonry, etc.

-i have knowledge of computers
-can talk to customers if necessary. wouldn’t mind being a service adviser/ manager.

like i said, if you know of anybody who’s looking out there let me know.

i am currently a sales rep. for an auto parts store.

Why don’t you try working at a repair shop again?

I am also looking for a job. Looking for anything really. Going to school in the Fall so i could only be full time from May-Sept.

Pete, I have yet to talk to my dad’s buddy about landscaping, but i will talk to him soon and let you know asap.

My boss is hiring… easy work. PM me for details

If you’re going to school, working in the state as an IT student assistant is the easiest way to make $15 and change an hour. Plus it’s definitely a step in the right direction to getting in if that’s what you want to do with yourself.

joey,
thanks man, i’d appreciate it. i’m not really too picky, i just can’t stand my boss right now. he is totally making it hard for me to do my job. i think i told you about this before, but maybe not.

fujii,
i have been actually considering a state position for awhile. aren’t they only hiring a few times a year though? i’ve heard the test they administer is pretty simple, and mostly basic knowledge kind of stuff. i’ll check out the link, thanks.

lksi,
thanks man, p.m. sent!

db2,
never worked in a shop, but would love to get into the “right” place. all the work i’ve done is freelance, and while my conditions are less than adequate (working outside,) i’m pretty affordable, and i get the job done.

Depends on the position. The entry level level IT positions (IT Specialist 1 and 2) they hire year round, same thing with student assistants. They also have programs at UAlbany and HVCC they list student assistant positions not listed on the website I linked earlier, which is how I got into the state.

thanks for the heads up. i will definitely look into it.

i pay 8$ per. 3min. i like my tube sucked, like 2-3 times per day. so you’re looking at $112-168 per week.

Got any programming skills/background? If you do I can refer you to someone at Golub for an internship. Does not pay 12+ an hour, but it is deff a great experience. I wrote and maintained software for them for 2 summers and 2 winters, only reason why I’m not going back it because I got a better offer in Buffalo. Very nice people there. You even get some benifits, during a few weeks in the summer you get reallly cheap tickets for you, your family and friends to The Great Escape, there is ussually a company BBQ that they invite you to also.

Also, if you want a LEGAL version of Microsoft’s Visual Studio .Net development suite to play around in, PM me.

Computer Science lovin :tong

still looking…

Be a server. 20-30/hr. 20-30 hours a week. SUPER flexible scheduling (college will be no problem) and certain tax advantages. :ninja
