Wire is so cheap… Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!
30x65’ 6" thick cost me $11K in materials, doing all the work myself
This is not helping me want to redo my 60 y/o concrete driveway any quicker. I better start saving.
The only problem with going this route is not knowing where exactly the second lift will go down the road. Having 3 bays they will either be next to each other or not. So where do I pour the deeper sections? I guess I could always cut out what I put in later…
If it’s 3 bays wide, just go an inch or two deeper across the middle 10-13 feet deep into the bay where the columns may be. Plan for a lift in all three bays, won’t be that much more material.
I like that suggestion a lot.
Columns go between 11-12’ deep from the door in a garage depending how deep overall with asymetric arms, symetric go much closer to the door. Most lifts in the 10k range after they eliminated the 7-9k capacity lifts from the market are versa-metric like the Forward Lift I have, and Loomis Root stocks & installs all the time. I asked how long it would take to get the lift, and Chuck’s response was how many you want put in tomorrow? Try me. Nvm, Lol.
Great info, thank you. I am going with a Forward lift with the versametric arms. Makes the most sense to me I think.
If you’re near buffalo, PM me and you’re welcome to look at mine. Mine’s shoe-horned into what a lot of people would consider tight yet efficient quarters.
