Concrete Polishing

Update:

We bought grinding and polishing wheels from Vic International. 50g up to 3000g. Polished a walk slab from the yard at work and a sample slab of exposed aggregate. Pretty amazing and it wasn’t that hard…just alot of time and concentration.

We poured our first piece of furniture today…a charcoal coffee table with my friend’s name embedded in the top in black concrete.

Pictures as soon as I can.

should have asked me, i have all of those pads

50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3000 and a buffer, but same as 3000

and all from VIC

How did I know that Taco would drop by this thread?

They seem to be holding up pretty well. We wet polished until second pass with the 1500.

What are you using for a grinder/polisher? I’m looking into one with a wet line.

i want to see this table. i need end tables and this might be one hell of an idea. i love pittspeed.

I’ll definitely be posting pics as soon as I can. It has to cure for at least 10 days before we can really start polishing.

we polish wet, they are wet pads, but u can use the 800 and up dry, we start using the 800 dry soo we can see if there are spots that werent polished fully

we use air polishers powered by compressed air, or i forget the names of the electric ones
