Control arm bushing replacements. Energy suspension? prothane? polyurethane kits?

Front Control arm bushings on my civic are shot. I really hate the cheap design of the oem bushings and how they constantly shit out on people. Im leaning towards the energy suspension kit. I like the fact that they are more durable and solid now hollowed out 4 points like the oem ones that love to rip and fall apart.

Any suggestions? any one use these things? They seem to have good reviews and i like the concept of them.
These are the few ive found.

I had energy suspension bushings in my rx7, I liked them alot.

Mine were red.

I had the energy suspension bushings in my eg sedan. Have fun gettin the old ones out! The outer metal ring around the rubber bushings like to not come out of the control arm

I also had energy suspension stuff on my eg. I really liked them

any fitment issues or anything did the car ride tighter ? did they hold up and last lol?

Oh I know ive researched it. I wont be doing it myself ill be having a shop or someone with a press do it.

Nice how were they in a honda jam?

A huge difference vs the blown stock ones. I had pretty much everything replaced (ball joints tie rods ect) also coilovers and skunk 2 rear LCAs. John D did the work for me. I was super happy with them

Some people say they squeak, mine never made a peep

If you lube them properly they won’t squeak. I’ve had them in all my cars, my favorite is using them in the shifter.

Thats what i like to hear, which kit is better the energy suspension or the prothane kit?

I had ES in the miata. No issues. I put zerk fittings in the control arms so I could easily lube them.

Use one of the balljoints tools. Really easy to do on the car this way, at least on a miata.

Curious about this as well, my sister’s LCA bushings are going on her 01 Civic coupe.

Anyone ever have issues with these lasting? ive heard a few people say they fell apart quicker than oem ones did and that the polyurethane didnt last either.

You’ll sell this car within the yr anyways.

air hammer the old ones out and press the new ones in. thats how we do em at work. im trying to remember which bolt normally gives us issues but i cant remember.
spray everything up with some pb a week before hand and you probably wont have any issues.

I was thinking that but I at least want them to last because i will be spending the money to fix them regardless so id kind of like to know its not in vain haha.

Yes thats the plan its not getting them out thats the problem I just need to know the best replacement
