Counterstrike Source/torrent/install problem

So i downloaded a torrent for counterstrike source v34 and I played it for a couple minutes then i turned off my computer off and the next day i did the same thing and it worked fine too. Today I turned on the computer and the .exe file that starts the game up is MIA.

So i Deleted the folder where everything was installed and reinstalled the game. THAT FILE IS NOT REINSTALLING, how can I get the game to start up?

this is so irritating. naturally I blamed the g/f.

I rarely play video games, I was just bored at work today in between meetings and appts so I figured what the hell…

any help would be appreciated.

Btw, the file was abbreviated something like cs, css, cssource, cstrike, or something to that effect, Ive searched the harddrive for it and no luck.

It may have added some shit to your registry that is preventing a reinstall. You’re probably running windows? :picard:

but what made the original file disapear? anddddddd, is there a way to locate the actual application? I just want to find it so i can waste 20 minutes of my day at work tomorrow.

Do you still have the install package that was downloaded?

Try to go into the windows program manager and uninstall/reinstall from there.

yea… wheres the add remove program thing on vista?

I haven’t the foggiest idea…

i have never played CS i kinda want to

shoulda bought a mac.

ugh… i wish that it worked as well as it did the other day.

OK. so the file was quarantined because it had a trojan in it. It cant clean the file, is there any other way to make it work with out putting the information on my computer at risk.?

Control panel still, just called Programs instead of Add/Remove programs.

You would still have to install XP or Vista in order to play CS:S

why not simply download it from steam? or are you too cheap for a one time $20 fee to play? :flipoff:

lol. it worked so well the first 2 days i played it. poop.

just trying to circumvent the 20 dollar fee, i paid it before on an old computer I just lost the cd, and im not certain of the version i had either… hmmmm

maybe ill go try to dig up the cd, i wonder if it would work on vista if it was designed for xp.?

you shouldn’t need a cd if you have a steam account at all. you can download directly through them.

I just bought one the other day it was 18 bucks at Circuit City.

It’ll work on Vista.

word. pain in the ass lol. thanks, ill try my steam account, i found my old 1.6 game too lol.
