I would like to get some glamour shots sometime if anyone knows of a good location.
Hamburg beach on rte 5
Def. a good spot…get some Turbo V8 cruises organized for a photo day.
Nice
Mustang really needs some wheels
Yeah I am fond of the sleeper look but not as much as I want some baller wheels. I have been looking since the day I bought the car. All the good deals or baller wheels are sold within minutes of being posted…local and nationally but after seeing pics of JTs TA, I am def. leaning towards that style wheel.
They look good together, Kyle.
Thanks Joe, I am not sure if the Lexus design is ahead of its time or the Mustang is a little behind the times but they look like they could be from the same time period to me instead of 10 years apart
The guy who hooked me up with a free transmission mount sells sc300 ls1 mounts…
Lol…as tempting as that is…the swap is very complicated and the T-56 doesnt quite line up with the existing shifter location which last time I looked into it still does not have a solution except to “deal” with it
Probably a little of both, but pics look great. I actually like those wheels on the Mustang, there’s definitely worse out there. Are those stock GT or Bullit wheels?
I think since its the Premium GT in 03, the factory wheels were the Bullit Style. I dont think they are the specific Bullit wheel from the special edition cars
Yeah, Bullitt wheels were standard on “premium” GT’s. My 2002 came from the factory with them as well. Standard cars had the hideous “starfish” wheels. For the real ballers, 99-01 Cobra style wheels were an option.
My street. Do burnouts. Puss.
Lol…I did my first one in the Mustang yesterday joking that burnouts make the sun came out…no shit…it worked.
The Lexus really came out great !
Thanks man…it hurts me to not be as interested in it at the moment after all the work, but the mustang is just a blast to drive.
I would have a hard time picking which one to drive every day
I can snap some pics in my rearview
Whats the long term plan for the Lexus?
The long term plan for the lexus was to build a 400ish whp turbo car but in doing the math, it would have cost more to do that than just buy the already turbo 400whp Mustang.
The other contributing factor is that the lexus is a fairly rare car with very low miles for the year. I sort of wanted to keep it clean and headache free by leaving it stock in case I decided to sell it would appeal to those looking for a very clean car or a very clean platform to build from.
So the plan now is to hold onto it and drive it on occasion because it does have its perks over the Mustang…mostly driving ease…until the right offer comes along to sell.
The other notion I have toyed with is to sell both cars in 2 or 3 years and get a 996 Turbo and have just one fun car…but we will see.
